How alignment works

Every lesson, explanation, and quiz in Kitabu is organised by learning area, strand, and sub-strand, mirroring the CBC (CBE) structure used in Kenyan classrooms. When your child asks a question, the tutor answers it "the CBC way" — using the terms, methods, and presentation their teacher expects, in English or Kiswahili.

Current coverage

• Lower primary (Grades 1–3): Literacy (English & Kiswahili), Mathematics, Environmental Activities, Creative Arts, and Religious Education — the foundations every later year builds on.
• Upper primary (Grades 4–6): Mathematics, English, Kiswahili, Science & Technology, Social Studies, Agriculture & Nutrition, Creative Arts, and Religious Education.
• Junior school (Grades 7–9): Mathematics, English, Kiswahili, Integrated Science, Social Studies, Pre-Technical Studies, Agriculture & Nutrition, Creative Arts & Sports, and Religious Education.
• Senior school (Grades 10–12): pathway subjects are rolling out across STEM, Social Sciences, and Arts & Sports Science, expanding to full Senior School coverage.

Exam preparation includes revision past papers for the national assessments learners actually face — KPSEA at Grade 6, KJSEA at junior school, and KCSE at Senior School — included in every subscription from KSh 100/month.

Kitabu AI is CBC-aligned: our content is built to follow the CBC (CBE) syllabus structure. We do not claim KICD approval, and we won’t until a formal approval is in hand. Where content is still rolling out (Senior School), we say so rather than overselling.
